May 8-9- Guy’s Spring Retreat

Our Youth Guys will be meeting during this weekend to have some fun activities and discussions that are for guys only. On Saturday the Guys will be hosting a Paint Ball Tournament Youth ‘Fun!Raiser’ from 3:30-5:30PM. We do need some male volunteers to come hang out with our guys and some volunteers to provide food for this weekend. If you are free to volunteer or have any questions please see Kendal for more details!

 

May 22-23- Girl’s Spring Retreat

Our Youth Girl’s will be getting together this weekend for some fun girl time full of games and bible studies just for them. We will be making the candles that we are selling to complete the Girl’s Sponsored Youth ‘Fun!Raiser’ during the retreat. We need some female volunteers and some donations of food and meals for this retreat to be possible. If you are able to help with this retreat or want to hear more details please see Kendal!

 

May 30- Saturday Night Alive- Youth ‘Fun!Raiser’

Our last Saturday Night Alive performance was a huge success! We had an absolute blast, and this time we hope more people will be able to come out relax and have some fun with us! We will be meeting in the Youth Worship Center at 6:30 and we will be having some light refreshments in the Fellowship Hall after the performance. A donation admission will be taken at the door and all proceeds will go to our summer mission trip!

Surprise Girls!

We had a bunch of surprised girls this past weekend at our surprise youth girl’s weekend get-away retreat! We played tons of fun games, had some awesome discussions, and made a lot of memories! To those who were unable to attend we missed you all soooo much- but no worries! We will be having another girls only retreat in May!!!

Huge thanks to all the girl’s parents and Beth for making this whole thing possible! We all had a blast!!!

Youth Update!

Hey! Thanks to everyone for coming out to the Youth Fun day yesterday! We built sugar cookie houses… made towers… destroyed the parking lot (and Kendal’s hair!) with shaving cream… watched some comedies and ate LOTS of food (specifically cheese sticks!) We missed those of you who weren’t able to come- but we were super excited to have lots of visitors!

I don’t tell you guys enough- but I am so proud of you all and love you to pieces! Keep on brining your friends and I will just plan more fun stuff for us to do!

Sidenote: how about 3 cheers for our totally awesome band Blueprint for Chaos! Keep the guys in your prayers as they are rehearsing and recording!

Prayer Need…

Hey guys! Hope you are all having a good week so far and planning on being at church tomorrow!

Just wanted to send an update out there for you all to be in prayer for Chelsea Waters. You may remember praying for her during our retreat because she has been having some really bad seizures. Well, I just got a text from Autumn and she informed me that Chelsea had another seizure this weekend- and may have even broken her jaw!

We know that God is the ultimate healer… so lets all ban together and lift Chelsea up in our prayers. Thanks guys!

If any of you ever have a prayer request like this- just let me know and I can put it up here so your peers can pray for you! Love you all!

April 4- all youth be at the church by 9:00am to help with the Children’s Easter Party
April 15- Youth Fun Day 2-8pm
April 22- Wednesday Night Meal Youth “Fun!Raiser” 5:30-6:30

April 15- Youth Fun Day
All youth are invited to come and bring as many friends as possible for a youth fun day where we will have fun, food, and fellowship! Any adults that would like to come spend time with our youth that day or would be able to donate food/drinks would be greatly appreciated!

April 22- Wednesday Night Meal
Join us for another Youth Sponsored “Fun!Raiser” for our summer mission trip! We will be having spaghetti, bread, salad, dessert in the fellowship hall from 5:30-6:30. (Come and go as you can.)

Youth Girl’s Surprise!
Our youth girls will be having a surprise sometime in the month of April. All girls are encouraged to come every Sunday morning and evening and Wednesday nights because they don’t want to miss this surprise!

Kendal… You Should Be A Youth Minister…

hahaha- Thank you Jaquain! That was without a doubt the funniest thing ever!

Well gang, I think its safe to say that the Saturday Night Alive was a ton of fun! I wanted to let you all know (via txt message and now the website update) how proud I was of all of you guys for getting up on stage and making a ton of people laugh! You guys are the most talented and most cool youth group in the entire universe. Really. (maybe I’m a bit on the partial side??)

Well.. congrats again to all of you! Our first 3 fundraisers were a huge, huge success! Be sure and thank the rest of the church family as you see them! And remember the talk we had… be thinking about what things over the next couple of days brings you joy that comes from God!
